Over the past twelve months, our Higher School Certificate Music students have been developing outstanding performances, viva voce, and compositions alongside their teacher Ms. Richards.
Traditionally, this would culminate in a showcase evening and external marking. Unfortunately, in 2021 this wasn’t possible.
Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing videos of our Year 12 students performing the pieces they have worked so hard to complete.
Marco is a Music 1 student, who has studied Music at Ku-ring-gai High School since Year 7. In 2020, he completed his Level 2 - 8th Grade Australian Music Examinations Board practical exam and achieved an A. Throughout Year 12, Marco studied rock music, music of the 20th and 21st century, and music of the 19th century. He has continued to develop his craft through four performance pieces, Don’t Stop Believin' by Journey, Tooth and Claw by Animals as Leaders, Fantaisie Impromptu by Chopin, and the Skrillex Remix of Cinema.
Earlier in the year, Marco continued the rehearsal of his piece, Cinema, alongside our VET Entertainment Industry Specialisation students to record this video.
