In the last weekend of the school holidays, Torsten, Year 11, passed his exam for his Recreational Pilots Licence.
To receive the licence, Torsten was required to pass an aeronautical knowledge examination, complete flight training, pass the recreational pilot licence flight test and complete over 25 hours of flight time as pilot of an aircraft, including at least 20 hours of dual flight and five hours of flight as pilot in command. Torsten completed his training through Scouts NSW and Altocap Flight School at Camden Airport.
At Ku-ring-gai High School our mission is to promote harmony in diversity, which inspires and challenges students to strive for personal growth and take responsibility for creating a respectful and inclusive learning environment that values high expectations for all. The Learning Sphere of Ku-ring-gai High School includes students' contributions to the broader community and their role in being a positive ambassador of KHS.
The Ku-ring-gai High School community is proud of Torsten's achievements.
Congratulations!
