Our students are living in a society driven by rapid technological change. It is important that students develop an understanding of design processes to enable them to manage, interpret, shape, and alter their environment, enabling them to become successful global citizens.
In Year 7 Technology (Mandatory), students have the opportunity to become innovative creators of digital technologies.
Digital Technologies: Crack the Code, requires students to design and develop a Security Alarm System, using Control Technologies, whilst learning a variety of coding techniques and processes.
Students are provided with opportunities to develop fluency in a general-purpose programming language and use these skills to solve real-world problems using computational and system thinking.
Mr. Redshaw and Mrs. Carr's students have been working hard to develop practical skills with tools, materials and processes while working safely, independently, and collaboratively on their design projects.
