Learning Sphere Spotlight Banner

This Saturday, Noah, Orlando, and Ryan (The Tin Heads) from Year 12 will compete in the Saturday semi-final of the YouthRock Band Competiton for 2022.

YouthRock is a band competition held annually in Sydney. It is a school-based, state-wide competition where bands from across NSW perform their original compositions, showcasing their talent, musicianship, stage presence, and chemistry.

Bands enter via video submission and, if successful, compete in one of four semi-finals.

The Saturday semi-final commences at 5pm at Bankstown Sports Club or you can watch live via the YouthRock Band Competition Facebook page.

If successful in the semifinals our students get an opportunity to have their songs recorded professionally in a studio and have the chance of taking out the grand prize which includes five days of recording studio time, musical equipment, support gigs, legal advice, and a photoshoot.

At Ku-ring-gai High School our mission is to promote harmony in diversity, which inspires and challenges students to strive for personal growth and take responsibility for creating a respectful and inclusive learning environment that values high expectations for all. The Learning Sphere of Ku-ring-gai High School includes students' contributions to the broader community and their role in being a positive ambassador of Ku-ring-gai High School.

Good luck!
