Year 7, 2023

We look forward to officially welcoming Year 7, 2023 to Ku-ring-gai High School.

Going to high school will be a new experience for your young person. Our school is likely to be much bigger than primary school and they may feel a little unsure at first, but it is also an exciting time with many opportunities and a broader curriculum. Ku-ring-gai High School is a community that values individual worth and contribution. Our school ensures excellent student-centd education with a positive focus on developing students through future-focused learning.

At Ku-ring-gai High School, we prioritise the wellbeing of all students and staff and have highly effective programs to support our students in their development. Our teachers and staff are all invested and committed to ensuring all our students connect, succeed, and thrive.

To assist students, parents, and caregivers with the transition to high school, Ku-ring-gai High School facilitates a comprehensive transition program, including:

Orientation Day, which will be held on Tuesday 29 November 2022 from 9.30 - 11.30 am for students to participate in activities to feel a little familiarised with school. We will run a 30-minute parent information session at 9.30am so that you can meet the Relieving Principal, Year Adviser, and other key staff. We will also have time to answer questions. Parents may consider booking with the uniform shop or visiting one of our local coffee shops while you wait for your child to complete activities with us.

We open the school year for Year 7 with a Learning Transition Program, which students take part in during their first days of High School in 2023, commencing on Tuesday 31 January, 9 am.
