Transitioning to high school marks a significant step in your young person's educational journey. Our school, compared to primary school, may seem larger at first, and it's natural for them to feel a bit uncertain. However, this transition also brings forth exciting opportunities and a wider range of subjects to explore.

To assist students and parents/caregivers in navigating this transition to high school, Ku-ring-gai High School has designed a comprehensive transition program, which includes the following key elements:
Orientation Day, will be held on Tuesday 28 November, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. It is a chance for students to engage in various activities that will help them become more familiar with their school. We will host a 30-minute parent information session at 9:30 AM, where you can meet our Principal, Year 7 Advisers, and other important staff members. This session will also provide an opportunity for parents/caregivers to ask questions.
While your child participates in activities, parents may consider visiting the uniform shop or enjoying a coffee at one of our local coffee shops.
We open the school year with our Learning Transition Program, starting on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 9:00 am. This program is designed to help students ease into their new high school environment and get acquainted with the exciting academic journey ahead.
